How to Order Custom Baseball Jerseys for Your Team (5 Steps)
Ordering custom baseball jerseys should take one conversation, not three weeks of email. Here is the exact process we use at Anycustomize, from the coach's first message to the box arriving at your clubhouse.
Follow these five steps and you can go from "we need jerseys" to an approved design in about 24-48 hours.
Step 1: Decide what you actually need
Before you contact a supplier, get clear on four things:
- How many pieces – a full roster plus two or three spares is normal. Our minimum is 15 pieces per design.
- Jerseys only, or full uniforms – jerseys, or jerseys with pants, caps and belts.
- Your colours – ideally a Pantone reference, or a photo of your current uniform.
- Your deadline – work backwards from your first game, not from today.
Step 2: Collect your artwork and roster
This is where most orders slow down. You need two files.
The artwork file
A vector logo (AI, EPS, SVG or PDF) gives the sharpest result. If you only have a photo or a JPG, send it anyway – our design team can usually redraw it.
The roster file
A simple spreadsheet with one line per player: player name (exactly as it should appear), number, and size. If you do not have the roster yet, order anyway – we can hold the names until you do.
Step 3: Get a free proof before you pay
Any supplier worth using will send a digital mockup of the finished jersey before you commit. At Anycustomize this is free and takes 24-48 hours, with unlimited revisions.
Check the proof carefully: the spelling of every name, the number on front and back, the colour of the piping, and where the logo sits. Corrections are free at this stage and expensive later.
Step 4: Approve and pay
Once you approve the proof, production starts. Nothing is charged until you are happy with the design.
Step 5: Production and delivery
- Production: 2-4 weeks after you approve the proof
- Shipping: 5-12 days by express air to the United States, Canada and the EU
- Total: plan on about 3-5 weeks from artwork to delivery
You get a tracking number as soon as the parcel leaves us.
The four mistakes that delay team orders
- Approving a proof without checking the roster. One misspelled name means a reprint.
- Ordering too late. If your first game is in three weeks, you are already tight.
- Sending a screenshot instead of the logo file. It can be redrawn, but it adds a day.
- Forgetting the spares. Order two or three extra pieces for late signings.
